Frequently Asked Questions About Conference
The 2024 ASA International Conference (ASAIC24) is being offered as a hybrid event. Attendees may attend in person in Portland or virtually via a live stream broadcast of the sessions. Streaming sessions will be broadcast live in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
A 10% discount off the current, applicable registration fee is available for five or more individuals registering from the same organization. Individuals must be registered as a group to qualify for the discount.

For attendees registering for the live (on-site) event, we will gladly provide a full refund for registrations cancelled by August 15, 2024. A $100 administrative fee will be applied to cancellations received by September 1, 2024. Due to the financial obligations incurred by ASA, no refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations received after September 1, 2024. Attendee may transfer registration to the virtual program without penalty. Transfer request must take place no later than Friday, September 13, 2024.
Attendees registering for the virtual (online) event may cancel up to 24 hours prior to the event for a full refund. No refunds will be issued within 24 hours.
All attempts will be made to process refunds within 30 days of receipt of the cancellation. Requests must be made in writing to ASA via email, fax, or mail.
Attending the 2024 ASA International Conference (ASAIC24) is an excellent way to earn ASA reaccreditation and CE credits. Credit for each discipline track is as follows:

Credit for attendance will automatically be added to your ASA reaccreditation record based on your discipline. If you attended sessions outside of your discipline, please contact ASA Member Services for a credit adjustment.
Member records will reflect the awarded CE credit no later than October 15, 2024. To view your credit summary, login to ASA’s website, click on ‘My Credit Reporting’ and use the credit summary tool.
Attending the 2024 ASA International Conference (ASAIC24) is an excellent way to earn reaccreditation and CE/CPE credits. Full in-person attendance in the Business Valuation track will be granted 17.0 CE/CPE credits. Full virtual attendance in Business Valuation track will be granted *16.0 CE/CPE credits.
*Virtual attendees who experienced online technical disruptions resulting in the loss of a credit hour are encouraged to contact headquarters to resolve any credit discrepancies and reach out to education@appraisers.org.
Credit for attendance will automatically be added to your ASA reaccreditation record based on your discipline. If you attended sessions outside of your discipline, please contact ASA Member Services and your credit will be adjusted accordingly.
Members’ records should reflect awarded CE credit by October 15, 2024. After that time, you may login to ASA’s website & visit the My Credit Reporting webpage and use the credit summary tool to view your credit.
NASBA and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit
A certificate will be available post-event for Business Valuation attendees to report CPE credit.
The American Society of Appraisers is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website www.learningmarket.org/.
CPE Credit: Up to *17 CPE credits in Accounting, Auditing, Information Technology, Specialized Knowledge and Applications

Delivery Method: Only group-live and group internet-based courses are approved for CPE

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the potential impact of artificial intelligence on the appraisal profession and how can it be utilized in the performance of valuation work?
- Identify different types and the uses of healthcare data and the factors that impact their value.
- Learn how to apply valuation discounts and premiums and bifurcate acquisition premiums between synergies and control.
- Analyze valuation inputs and risk using Monte Carlo, including in-class exercises.
- Understand best practices for calculating and selecting market multiples derived from guideline public companies and guideline transactions.
- Develop an understanding of advanced forensic accounting techniques that can be used to detect and critically analyze different types of biases in financial data.
ASA has applied for 15 hours of continuing education in the following states:

If you’d like to attend the conference and receive state CE hours but your state isn’t listed, please email education@appraisers.org.
Unless otherwise noted, you must attend the real property sessions both days to receive state CE hours. Other discipline sessions have not been approved for state CE hours.
*Each day of the conference has been approved for seven (7) CE hours. You may attend only one day of the conference and still receive state CE hours.
** New York has approved the full conference for 14.75 CE hours.
***Tennessee has approved the full conference for 14 CE hours.
ASA CE credit may be earned for any OnDemand session you view. OnDemand content does not qualify for CPE credit.

Conference registrants are responsible for booking their conference travel and making hotel arrangements.

All events will take place at the Hilton Portland Downtown. Registration, breakfast and breaks will be located on the Plaza Level. General session and breakout sessions will be located on various floors in the conference center. Specific details on session and event locations will be provided on-site in the conference program as well as the conference mobile app.
Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference events. We recommend you dress in layers in the hotel as meeting rooms tend to be cold.
We highly encourage pre-registration for the conference, but you may register on-site at the ASA International Conference Registration Desk located on the Plaza Level at the Hilton Portland Downtown. On-site registration opens on Sunday, September 15 at 3pm.
Check in for the conference begins at 3pm on Sunday, September 15. Attendees may check in and pick up their credentials at the ASA International Conference Registration Desk located on the Plaza Level of the Hilton Portland Downtown.
Guest registration is available for social and meal functions during the conference and may be purchased during the registration process. Please see the registration page for additional details. Conference materials will be provided electronically and will be available for download approximately 5-7 days prior to the conference. Materials may be accessed via an attendee only link to the ASA International Conference website and/or the conference mobile app.
E-mail notification and instructions will be provided when materials are available.
