ASA Educational Foundation Silent Auction

The ASA Educational Foundation's Annual Silent Auction fundraiser plays a vital role in shaping the future of the appraisal profession. Proceeds support scholarship grants for aspiring appraisers and fund the development of essential appraisal textbooks, including POV texts, helping to strengthen and expand our membership. Nestled in the heart of Guaynabo, P.R., Fort Buchanan Golf Club is a true golfer’s paradise. Established in 1949, the course was thoughtfully designed to accommodate players of all skill levels. With its diverse layout and unique challenges at every hole, each round offers a fresh and exciting experience. Transportation to and from the course and on-course beverages are the responsibility of the player. Fort Buchanan is a short 15 minute drive from the Sheraton Puerto Rico Resort & Casino.

**Important Notice:** The golf course is located on an active U.S. military base. All participants must undergo a background check before arrival to gain clearance for entry. U.S. citizens must provide the last four digits of their Social Security Number and non-U.S. citizens must submit a copy of their passport. Further details, including the submission process and deadline, will be provided after registration and in advance of the event.

  • Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico – Our journey begins at this renowned museum, home to an extraordinary collection of Puerto Rican and Caribbean art.
  • Fundación Cortés – Enjoy a guided tour of this esteemed foundation, which celebrates Puerto Rican creativity and houses an impressive collection of contemporary works. Founded by Ignacio Cortés, the owner of the renowned Chocolate Cortés company, the institution is dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation of the island's artistic heritage A delicious lunch at their on-site restaurant will follow.
  • Old San Juan Art Experience – Immerse yourself in the historic charm of Old San Juan with two intimate visits:
    • A private tour of Juan Botello’s gallery, featuring paintings, sculptures, ceramics and noteworthy collections of rare, antique carved santos. Upstairs we will view Botello Museo, which showcases the work of Juan’s father, the famous Spanish artist Ángel Botello.
    • A personal visit with Cesar and Mima Reyes, esteemed collectors and art patrons. Their mid-1800s home in the heart of Old San Juan houses an extraordinary collection featuring world-renowned artists alongside emerging talent. The Reyes will graciously welcome us with refreshments.
